Fixing a malfunction
A malfunction may be due to a minor problem that you can solve yourself using the instructions in the
following table. Before calling a technician, perform the following checks:
Your refrigerator doesn't work.

Check:
that it is properly plugged in,

that your home's main power switch is not switched off,
•
that the thermostat is not set to "0",
•
that the socket is suitable. To do this, plug another appliance into the same socket.

Your refrigerator is not working as well as it should.

Check:
that the refrigerator is not overloaded with food,

that the doors are closed properly,
•
that the condenser is not covered in dust,
•
that the space left at the back and around the sides of the appliance is sufficient.

Your appliance is noisy:

The cooling gas circulating in the refrigeration circuit can sometimes make a small noise even when the
compressor is not running. Don't worry, this is completely normal.
If you hear a different noise, check:
that the appliance is vertical,

that nothing is touching the back,
•
that the contents of the appliance are not vibrating.

If there's water in the bottom of the refrigerator:

Check that the defrost water drain hole is not blocked (use the defrost water drain plug to clean the
