10. MAINTENANCE
Mondraker recommend periodic maintenance for Grommy at an official Mondraker dealer. For experienced bikers
and mechanics, the most common maintenance steps can be found below.
1. CHAIN LUBRICATION
It is highly recommended to lubricate the chain every 3 or 4
rides. This will guarantee the chain's life and smooth operation
of the system.
To lubricate the chain, apply several drops of chain lube be-
tween the chain cover near the rear axle.
Another way to lubricate the chain is with the bike upside down,
in the window under the front sprocket shown in the picture.
2. CHAIN TENSION
The correct chain tension is when vertical play is between 0.5 and 1 cm. If the chain is outside of this tolerance, it needs
to be adjusted. In order to move the rear wheel for tensioning, loosen both 15 mm rear wheel nuts.

Once the wheel nuts are loose, both rear tensioners
(shown in the picture) will allow you to stretch or loos-
en the chain tension by moving the rear wheel forwards
or backwards.
