GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CLEANER

ASSEMBLING YOUR CLEANER
Remove all components from the packaging.
1.
Connect the hose to the cleaner bag door, ensuring it clips and locks into position. To
release: simply press the two buttons on the hose end and pull. [1]
Connect the hose handle to the tube upper end. [2]

Connect the tube lower end to the nozzle. [3]

USING YOUR CLEANER

Extract the power cord and plug it into the power supply. Do not pull the cord beyond
the red marker. [4]

Adjust the length of the telescopic tube by moving the telescopic release button up
and raise or lower the hose handle to the most comfortable cleaning position. [5]

Carpet & Floor Nozzle**: press the pedal on the nozzle [6] to select the ideal celaning
mode according to the floor type
Hard Floor: The brushes are lowered to protect the floor
Carpet: The brushes are lifted for a deeper cleaning
Switch the cleaner on by pressing the On/Off button on the cleaner main body. [7]

Fixed Power control* - The cleaner will operate at a fixed power setting.

Variable Power control* - Rotate the On/Off button to increase or decrease the
suction level. Use low suction for delicate fabrics. [8]

Switch off at the end of use by pressing the On/Off button. Unplug and press the cord
rewind pedal to wind the power cord back into the cleaner. [9]
Parking and Storage - The tube can be parked for temporary storage while in use. [10]

CLEANER MAINTENANCE
This vacuum cleaner can be fitted with a bag or the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette.
Replacing The Dust Bag
If the bag check indicator is red please check and, if necessary, replace the bag.
Lift the bag door release latch [11] to open the cover, and pull the bag collar to remove

the bag [22].
Fold a new bag as shown [21] and fit by inserting the collar into the bag holder [22].

Close the bag door.
Warning - The bag door will NOT close if the dust bag and/or the bag holder are not
assembled to the cleaner. Always ensure the bag and bag holder are present when closing
the bag door.
Remember: The bag check indicator may also be red if an obstruction has occurred. In this
case refer to 'Removing A Blockage From the System'.
Reverter System - how to change from bag to Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette mode.
Depending on your preference, you may wish to use this cleaner with the Hoover exclusive
Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette instead of the bag.
1. Switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply.
2. Open the bag door and grip the bag holder. [11] Lift the bag holder vertically out of the
cleaner. [22]
3. Place the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette into the cleaner by pushing downward
vertically with the handle toward the front of cleaner, ensure that the Dust Manager
Cyclonic Cassette is fully located. [12]
4. Close the bag door.
When full, please dispose of the bag immediately.
1. Open the cover, grip the bag holder and pull upward to remove.
2. Pull the tongue to remove and seal the bag. Dispose the full bag into the bin.
3. Only use Hoover genuine bags.
Emptying the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. Check and empty the Dust Manager
Cyclonic Cassette regularly, best after each use.
1. Extract the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. [12]
2. Use the handle to carry the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to the dust bin.
3. Pull the latch to remove the cover from the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette. [13]
4. Grip the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette firmly and tip the contents into the dust bin.

5. Shake the Cyclonic Cassette and, if required, use a brush to remove any of the
remaining dust or debris. [15]
6. Wash the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette if required. See chapter "Maintaining the
Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filter".
7. To close the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette locate the cover rear guides onto the
container then close firmly.
