8. Return the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to its original position in the cleaner.
Maintaining the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filter
To maintain the best performance, we recommend that you wash the Dust Manager
Cyclonic Cassette filter every month or as soon as you notice a drop in performance
removing even the finest dust retained in it.
1. Shake out the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to remove large dirt and debris as
described in "Empty the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette".
2. Use a brush to remove the fine dust that may have formed on the walls of the Cyclonic
Cassette.
3. Push the latches to remove the bottom filter grill. [16]
4. Tap filter against bin until fine dust is removed. [14]
5. Rinse filter under lukewarm water and agitate inner pleats, ensuring both sides are
cleaned. [19]
6. Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully
dry. [20]
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE CLEANER WHEN FILTER IS NOT COMPLETELY
DRY.
After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filter in its original position.
Return the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to its original position.
Pre-motor and exhaust filter maintenance
1. To maintain optimum performance from your cleaner, please wash the filters after each
5 bag changes.
2. Lift the bag door release latch [11] to open the cover and pull the bag collar to remove
the bag. [22]
3. Remove the pre-motor filter and the exhaust filter from the cleaner. [17]
4. Remove the pre-motor filter from the holder. [18]
5. Rinse both filters under hand warm water. [18, 19]
6. Do not scrub the filters, use washing up liquid or place in a dishwasher.
7. Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully dry.
8. After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filters in their original
positions in the cleaner.
IMPORTANT - Regularly check and maintain the filters by following the filter
maintenance instructions, it is also recommended that you purchase new filters
after every 3rd filter wash. This will maintain your cleaners performance over time.
Removing a Blockage From The System
If the bag check indicator is illuminated or flashing:
1.
Check if the bag is full. If so refer to 'Replacing The Dust Bag'.
2.
If it is not full, then:
A. Do the filters need cleaning? If so refer to 'Cleaning the Filter'.
B. Check if there is any other blockage in the system - Use a rod or a stick to remove
any blockage from the Telescopic tube or flexible hose.

Warning - The bag check indicator will turn red if the cleaner is used when full, if there is a
blockage or if the filters are dirty. If the cleaner is used for a significant period of time with the
bag check indicator red, a thermal cut out will switch the cleaner off to prevent overheating.
The bag check indicator turn green once the cleaner has switched off to signal that the
thermal cut out has been activated. If this should happen, switch the cleaner off, unplug and
correct the fault. It will take about 30 minutes for the cut out to automatically reset.
ACCESSORIES AND NOZZLES
To obtain the best performance and efficiency it is recommended that the correct nozzles
are used for the main cleaning operations. These nozzles are indicated in the diagrams
by the letters GP, HF or CA.
A nozzle type GP can be used to clean both carpet and hard floor.
A nozzle type HF is suitable for use only on hard floor.
A nozzle of type CA is suitable for use only on carpet.
The other nozzles are accessories for specialist cleaning tasks and are recommended
for occasional use only.
All accessories can be fitted to the end of the hose handle or the end of the telescopic
tube.

IMPORTANT: Do not use the mini turbo nozzle on rugs with long fringes, animal hides and
carpet pile deeper than 15mm. Do not keep the nozzle stationary while the brush is
rotating.
