a) If the DDC can provide 0–10 V mode and on/off signals to the Carrier AHU kit, the wired controller does not need to be connected. If only 0–10
V signal but no on/off, the wired controller is necessary.
b) If the Carrier wired controller is connected to the system, the wired controller has top priority. Therefore, if the wired controller is set to off status,
signals from the DDC to the Carrier AHU kit will be invalid. When the wired controller is turned on, first adjust the operation mode, after which
the third-party AHU units can be controlled by the 0–10 V signal from the DDC to the Carrier AHU kit by adjusting the outdoor unit capacity.
c) If the wired controller is connected, it can directly control the third-party AHU fan motor. Else, the Carrier AHU kit PCB provides a fan speed dry
contact signal to the DDC or to the AHU unit PCB directly. If users want to use the wired controller to adjust fan speeds, set the wired controller
according to the AHU fan motor grades; a maximum of 3 fan speeds are available.
d) The Carrier AHU kit can provide a mode signal to the DDC or AHU unit PCB directly to control the AHU unit. For example, if the DDC or third-
party AHU unit PCB receives a defrost signal from the AHU kit, the AHU fan motor will be controlled.
e) The maximum input range of voltage from the DDC is 0–10 V. If it exceeds 10 V, the input will be 10 V; if it is lower than 0 V, the input will be 0 V.
The maximum input voltage should not exceed 10 V.
