3. ASSEMBLY AND USE OF
ACCESSORIES
The mixer can be used for stirring, dough-making,
whisking and mixing.
Assembly and use of mixer foot (9)
• Suitable for preparing cocktails, mixing liquids,
binding sauces and making fruit milkshakes and
soups.
• Ensure that the appliance is unplugged and the
speed control set at "0", then slide off the
protective cover (5), which is situated between
the two supports (10), and screw in the mixer
foot (9), fig. B)
• Plug the appliance into the mains and introduce
the mixer (9) in the ingredients. Turns the speed
control first to "1" and then to the desired speed.
• When you have finished, turn the speed control
(4) to "0", unplug the appliance and unscrew the
mixer foot (9). Finally, slide the protective cover
(5) back into place.
Caution
This appliance is designed for intermittent use.
It should not be left on for more that 1 minute at
a time. If a longer mixing period is required,
leave it to cool for five minutes before resuming
use.
Suggestions for use
• When mixing dry ingredients, first place them in
the receptacle and then add the liquid before
mixing.
• Before turning the appliance on, introduce the
mixer foot into the ingredients, thus ensuring
that they do not spill over.
• For greater efficiency, move the appliance in
small outward spiralling circles whist mixing,
without touching the bottom of the receptacle
with the mixer foot. Turn the appliance off before
removing the mixer foot from the ingredients.
• The mixer can be used in any cooking utensils
as long as it is not over a lit burner.
• Clean fresh ingredients and remove non-edible
parts before using the mixer.
• Chop hard or fibrous ingredients into 1-1,5cm
pieces, and softer ones into 1,5-2,5cm pieces.
• Some foods require a small amount of liquid to
allow them to move freely around the blades.
Soft or wetter foods need little liquid, while dry
ingredients require somewhat more. Add the
Página 10
liquid little by little until the mix gains the
required consistency.
• When using the appliance, remember that the
quantity of food in the receptacle should always
be sufficient to cover the openings around the
blades in order to avoid splashing.
• For liquid mixtures such as drinks, soups and
sauces, or for soft mixes, use the lowest (1) or
middle (2) speed.
• For jobs that require more vigorous mixing, such
as beating eggs, mixing liquids, sauces,
dressings and chopping cooked vegetables and
raw fruit, use the highest speeds (3-4) until the
required consistency is achieved.
Assembly and use of whisk (8) and dough-
making (7) accessories
• Ensure the appliance is unplugged and the
speed control set at "0"
• To insert the dough-making (7) or whisk (8)
accessories, hold the handle of the mixer with
one hand and insert the first accessory rod into
the slot with the other turning it slightly until it is
firmly locked into position. Repeat the same
process with the other rod.
When inserting the dough-making accessories
(7), remember that the rod with the larger
washer should be inserted in the right-hand slot,
and the one with the smaller washer into the
left-hand slot (Fig. C). This is to avoid the risk of
ingredients spilling over the rim of the
receptacle.
• Plug the appliance into the mains and insert the
accessories into the centre of the mixture.
• Turn the speed control to "1" and then select a
speed suitable for the required process.
• When you have finished, turn the speed control
"0", unplug the appliance and remove the
accessories by pressing the release button (2)
(Fig. D)
Caution
Do not use for mote than 5 minutes at a time
with dough-making accessories. If you require
a longer period of use, leave to cool for 10
minutes.
