There is a choice of Off and 4 levels of brightness.

Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor
The remote sensor supplied measures and transmits the
information to the main unit that enable it to display
temperature, humidity and weather forecast symbols.
1. Use a screwdriver to remove the retaining screws
slide open the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 2 x 1.5V "AAA" batteries
indicated (batteries not included)
3. Close the battery compartment cover
Position the sensor vertically on a flat surface, or hanging from
a hook or screw using the keyhole slot on the back of the unit.
For best results: Place in the shade outside
Do not expose the sensor to direct sunlight. It is water resistant
(to IPX4 - splashproof) but must not be immersed in water.
Position within 10m of the main unit at 1.5 - 2m above the ground.
Minimise obstructions (doors, walls and furniture) between the sensor and the main unit and to prevent
interference keep away from metal and electronic devices.
Allow 2-3 minutes after batteries are installed for wireless connection to the main unit.
