INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER
14. MAINTENANCE
To ensure a safe operation and to extend the working life of the appliance, we recommend a regular inspection (at least
annually) by an authorized customer service or by a suitably qualified person.
Recommended operations during the periodic inspection:
tightness of plumbing fittings
connection of the pressure relief valve (the valve connection has not to be loose)
fastening check
electrical system efficiency and electrical grounding connection
Power cable conditions (if it is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by an authorized technical
assistance service or by a qualified person in order to avoid any risk)
Check of the valve purge
It is necessary to empty the tank completely when the water heater is not used, in order to avoid damages caused by frost
during the cold season. For this purpose, you can use the special connection provided on the back of the appliance (FIG_14-
1)
15. INTERVENTION OF THE SAFETY VALVE
The device is equipped with a pressure relief valve: it protects the tank from possible excessive pressure caused by the
expansion of water while heating. In the event this situation occurs, the water is discharged through the drain, which the valve
is equipped with.
Little water can come out of the valve drain during the heating phase.
A CONTINUOUS LEAKAGE OF WATER FROM THE VALVE MAY INDICATE A HEATING PROBLEM.
IT IS COMPULSORY TO CHECK THE VALVE CONNECTION TO THE HEATER AT LEAST ONCE EVERY
SIX MONTHS: FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE AN EXPLOSION OF THE APPLIANCE
16. WARRANTY
The warranty conditions are valid if the installation instructions contained in this booklet are met. The warranty begins on the
manufacturing date printed on the data label of the appliance and lasts 36 months. For safety reasons and for the warranty
validity, it is mandatory to use only original spare parts.
