Operating instructions SATA filter 100 prep
5. Mounting the unit
Using the included holding angles (8), the filter must be firmly mounted in the vertical
position at the two mounting holes. Ensure that the unit is mounted in a manner to protect
against outside mechanical influence such as bumping or shaking. The filter may also be
mounted vertically and firmly to compressed air lines without mounting to the wall (Mount
air lines accordingly). Screw in fitting (no. 3). Ensure tight fit and tension free assembly. For
maintenance, it is recommended to include shut-off valve with removable coupling at the air
inlet (a coupling may also be put at the air outlet).
Connect one end of the condensate drain hose (no. 6) on the brass connection piece and the
other end into an appropriate condensate storage container. Make sure that the container
will not tip and the hose will not jump out when condensate is blown.
ATTENTION! Condensate is hazardous waste.
6. Pressure regulation valve
The required operating pressure can be adjusted at the independently controlled pressure
regulation valve (2).
7. Automatic Condensate Discharge
The automatic condensate discharger only functions properly when the filter is in the vertical
position. At a minimum inlet pressure of 1 bar/15 psi, the discharge valve closes automa-
tically. When the filter is non-pressurized, the valve ramins open (for description function,
see paragraph 1.1). By turning the brass control knob clockwise, condensation can be
pressurized and discharged manually (valve opens, condensate discharges). If the valve
does not discharge, the unit must be disassembled as outlined in paragraph 7. Clean dirty
or clogged condensate discharge valve in cleaning solvent and replace if necessary. In case
of malfunction, blow condensate valve free from the outside with a maximum of 1 bar/15 psi
when the unit is not pressurized. Replace if necessary.
8. Filter Cartridge Replacement
Remove filter tybe with the pivot wrench included with the unit. For the
sintered filter, unscrew diverter (Art. No. 24521), cyclone tube (Art. No..
22137) and sintered filter (Art. No.. 22160). With fine filter unit and acti-
vated charcoal, respectively, unscrew and remove filter cartridge. When
reassembling in reverse order please make sure that the fine filter cartridge
(blue) is installed in the correct filter stage. To avoid mistakes, there is a
colour marking (sleeve) on the respective thread rod. Furthermore, the filter
housing is marked with a coloured label (the label indicating filter exchange
comes in the respective colour). Please assure perfect fit and undamaged
O-ring during assembly, respectively.
