(2) Open the guard fully by pulling the arms as shown
below until a click is heard. (Fig. 49)
3. How to remove defl ection guard
Reverse the installation procedure to remove the
defl ection guard.
4. How to use defl ection guard
(1) Be sure to install the defl ection guard when bending
a rebar whose bending length and the fi xed length
are 20" (inside dimension of defl ection guard) or less
(Fig. 50)

(2) Be sure to install the defl ection guard when bending a
rebar whose bending length is 20" (inside dimension
of difl ection guard) or less and the fi xed length is
more than 20". In this case, move the arm at the fi xed
end. (Fig. 51)

(3) Remove the defl ection guard when bending a rebar
whose bending length and the fi xed length are more
than 20" (inside dimension of the defl ection guard).
CAUTION
● Set a rebar on the rebar cutter/bender so that
the bending length is equal to or shorter than
the fi xed length.
5. Bending in Manual Mode
In addition to "bending according to dial setting", this
tool uses a variable speed switch to allow the bending
of rebar according to visual estimation.
After steps (1) through (5) of "1. Normal bending
procedure" have been completed, follow the
instructions below.
(1) Set the setting dial to a larger angle than the one
desired (Fig. 52)
(2) Set the rebar and release the switch lock (Fig. 16)
(3) Pull the switch and release at the desired angle
The roller will move as long as the switch is pulled.
Little by little, pull the switch a few times to adjust until
the desired angle is reached. (Fig. 55)
(4) Verify the bent angle
Press the Manual Mode switch to slightly reverse-
rotate the bending roller. (Fig. 53)
Red indicator lamp switches on
If the desired bending angle is reached, go to
step (5).
If the angle requires more bending, press the
Manual Mode switch to return to normal rotation and
bend a little more. (Fig. 55)
