Modification of Program Settings
The front end processing features have been designed
specifically to remove unwanted extraneous or
background noise. These features have default values that
are a starting point for hearing care professionals to use in
the fitting process. If you think that you would benefit from
changing your program settings from the current settings,
you should contact your hearing care professional's
office and request the option to have additional settings
to use in your real-world environment. The hearing care
professional can create additional programs with different
settings. These new programs are then accessible to you
via multifunction button or mobile app.
When set to the strongest settings, the processing
features in your sound processor may impact speech
understanding. You and your hearing care professional
should evaluate sound quality and speech understanding
any time adjustments are made to your listening programs.
Cautions
UltraZoom and StereoZoom are beamforming
algorithms; therefore, by design they focus to the
front and dampen sound from the side and back of
the recipient.
The Sky CI sound processor is designed so it can
be worn in an off-ear wearing configuration. We do
not recommend the processor be worn in the off-ear
wearing configuration while using any beamforming
algorithm.
