Before You Begin

Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Provide an access panel for all installations.
If access to the hose connection is not possible, ensure the
connection point between the high-pressure hose and the hard
tubing is not greater than 30" (76.2 cm) from the hose guide
placement. This will allow replacement of the interlock hose by
pulling the hose up through the top of the fixture.
You can extend the distance between the between the water
source and the braided hose connection with 1/2" copper piping
below the rim of the bath/whirlpool, but it may not be safe or
practical. A long run of piping will mean a long run of
room-temperature standing water when the handshower is first
activated for use.
To protect the hoses from becoming tangled or snagged on pipes
or framing below the deck, you can construct a wooden chute for
the hoses.
Do not install handheld shower units on the bath outlet.
