OPERATING YOUR MICROWAVE OVEN
Before operating your microwave oven, be sure to familiarize yourself with the safety precautions
in the previous sections. In addition, please review the UTENSILS AND MATERIALS GUIDE and
COOKING TECHNIQUES sections covered in the next sections of this manual.
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Press the CLOCK button. Colon will flash
2. Use the number pads to enter the correct time.
3. Press the CLOCK button again. Colon will be steady.
NOTE: This is a 12 hour clock. When the oven is first plugged in or when power resumes after a
power interruption, the display will show ENTER CLOCK TIME. If you prefer to not have the clock
displayed, press the RESET button.
You can check the clock time while cooking is in progress by touching the CLOCK button.
SETTING THE OVEN TIMER
1. Press the TIMER button.
2. Enter the amount of time by using the number buttons. The maximum amount of time you
can set is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
3. Press the START/STOP button.
NOTE: Time countdown can be seen in the menu display for 5 seconds before clock or cooking
time is returned to display. Press the TIMER button and then press the RESET button to cancel
the TIMER process.
SETTING A COOKING PROGRAM
A. One-stage Cooking
1. Use the number buttons to set a cooking time. You can set
a cooking time from 1 second up to 99 minutes and 99 sec-
onds.
2. If you want to set a power level other than 100% power,
press the POWER button and then use the number buttons
to enter the power level.
3. Press the START/STOP button to begin the cooking process.
B. Two-stage Cooking
Some recipes require different stages of cooking at different
temperatures.
1. To set STAGE 1, follow steps 1 and 2 in "One-stage Cooking".
Do not press the START/STOP button.
2. To set STAGE 2, press the COOK button and then enter the
desired cooking time and power level. (Most 2-stage recipes
use lower power for second stage.)
3. Press the START/STOP button.
