transmitter

Speed settings for warm or cool weather
depend on factors such as room size, ceil-
ing height, number of fans, and so on.
Warm weather - (Forward) A downward
air flow creates a cooling effect as shown
in Figure 18. This allows you to set your
air conditioner on a higher setting without
affecting your comfort.
Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward air
flow moves warm air off the ceiling are as
shown in Figure 19. This allows you to set
your heating unit on a lower setting with-
out affecting your comfort.

Setting the Dip Switches in
the Receiver
The dip switches are accessible from the battery
compartment in the transmitter as shown in Fig-
ure A. The dip switches are preset to a particular
code in order for your remote control signal to
be accepted by the receiver in your fan.
In order to change the code in your fan, you
must have the power on. Next, turn the power
off at the wall while the remote power is still on.
Then, change the settings of the dip switches in
Figure 18
the transmitter located near the batteries. This
should be done with a small, pointed object.
Next, turn the power on at the wall and, within
30 seconds, press the small button next to the
dip switches. This should be done with a small,
pointed object. The LCD will show the number
5 decrease down to 1 and the light on the fan
will flash. After this, the new code will be set. If
this is not accomplished, repeat the steps.
