These welding helmets mod. WM25, WM28, (referred
to as "mask" in the text of this manual) conform with the
requirements of European Standard EN 379, EN 166, EN175.
The certification procedure as per Art. 10 of directive 89/686/
CEE has been carried out by :
DIN CERTCO Gesellschaft für Konformitätsbewertung GmbH
Alboinstr.56, 12103 Berlin, Deutschland.
(Notified body cod. 0196)
Read carefully and understand this instruction manual before
using the welding helmet.
Please use only glass filters showing the CE mark, of a shade
suitable with the desired welding process and current (see
Fig 2; MIG H = MIG on heavy metals; MIG L = MIG on light
alloys).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before and after use please check:
„ position, locking and conditions of the glass filter: replace
it if broken or if cracks are visible; clean it and if necessary
remove from its surface the drops of molten metal which
might reduce visibility
„ state and conditions of the welding helmet for deformations
or damages which might make the welding helmet not
suitable for the task.
„ The user has to be warned that the ADF (auto darkening
filter) should only be used if the backing lens is placed
behind the ADF.

„ If the parts of the mask (ADF, shell, cover lens, backing lens)
have various markings concerning their mechanical strength
, the complete helmet has only the lowest mechanical
strength of its parts.
„ Keep the welding helmet far from flames and intense heat
sources; do not welding helmets on fire.
„ While welding for long periods check the welding helmet at
regular intervals for deformations or damages.
„ Store the welding helmet in such a way to prevent
deformations in its shape and dimensions or cracks in the
glass filters.
„ The sensor have to be cleaned and unobscured.
„ Clean the welding helmet with a solution of soapy water.
Chemical solvents will damage the welding helmet.
„ This welding helmet will not protect against explosive
devices or corrosive liquids.
„ Use and store only at temperatures indicated on the
specifications.
„ This Auto-Darkering welding helmet is not suitable for laser
welding and oxyacetilene welding/cutting process.
„ This Auto-Darkering welding helmet will not protect against
severe impact hazards, including grinding discs.
„ If the impact letter followed by letter "T", you can use it
for protection against high speed particles at extremes of
temperature. If the impact letter does not followed by letter
"T", you should only use the eye protector for protection
against high speed particles at room temperature.
„ The eye-protectors against high speed particles worn over
standard ophthalmic spectacles may transmit impacts, thus
creating a hazard to the wear
„ If the filter does not switch to dark state anymore please
stop immediately and contact your local dealer.
„ Regularly replace the cracked / scratched / pitted front
cover lens.
MASK ASSEMBLY
The mask comes already assembled. Before use, it must be
adjusted to fit the user properly.
(Mod. WM28) Before use, set up sensitivity and shade level.
Fig1: MASK ADJUSTMENT
SELECTING SHADE LEVEL (Mod. WM28)
Select the shade level you require according to the welding
process you will use by referring to the "Shade Guide Table"
Fig 2 below for settings.
Turn the shade control knob to the shade number required.
SENSITIVITY (only WM28)
The sensitivity can be set to "HIGH /MAX " or "LOW".
Where the operation of the mask is disturbed by excess
ambient light, or another welding machine close by, use the
"low" setting.

USE AND MAINTENANCE

This mask has been designed and manufactured to protect
face and eyes from risks (arc rays and hot metal projections)
associated with welding operations and similar processes: it
must not be used for purposes other than those for which it
has been designed.
When used, it should be kept as close as possible to face and
eyes, and as far as possible from direct heat of the arc.
REPLACE THE FRONT COVER LENS: Replace the front
cover lens if it is damaged (cracked ,scratched, dirty) Fig.4.
CHANGING THE SHADE CARTRIDGE: Fig.5a, 5b
NOTE: The material of which the mask is made of doesn't
involve any danger for the user, but it should be noted that
may cause allergic reactions if it comes into contact with the
skin of particularly sensitive individuals.
