GEARBOX OIL:
Check the level every 50 working hours approx. and if necessary, top up with MP 85 W/90 gearbox oil.
Change the oil once a year (quantity 1,800 Kg.). To drain the old oil out of the gearbox casing, unscrew
the screws on the cover around the tiller shaft (6 - fig. 1).
TILLER SHAFT:
Remove the dust guards periodically (14 - fig. 2), clean the underlying area thoroughly, then replace.
Following these rules will help to keep all your rotovator's mechanical components in perfect working order.
USEFUL HINTS FOR PROPER USE:
1) Never leave the clutch disengaged for long periods.
2) Never leave the machine out in the rain.
3) Never force the gearbox if the gear does not engage; give light touches on the clutch when changing.
4) Never strain the engine: when a lot of smoke comes out of the exhaust the engine is toiling and must
be slowed down.
5) Even impossible ground can be tilled, but the machine must be well run-in first.
6) Never work at full throttle.
7) If the engine overheats on the first day, it must be stopped for a few minutes' rest.
8) Remove any leaves and grass from the grille around the engine pulley.
9) Keep the safety device clean and well oiled.
10) Under no circumstances must the machine be used without the safety device.

END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE:
Clean the machine carefully; change the engine and the gearbox oil. Sharpen and grease the blades,
replacing them if worn.
If parts have been broken and screws lost during the season, now is the time to restore everything to
perfect running order.
IMPLEMENTS
CAUTION: before fitting the tiller assemblies, ratchet hubs or wheel extensions to the tiller shaft (6 - fig.
1), check that the shaft and the inside of the accessory to be mounted are perfectly clean. After fitting the
accessory to the shaft, tighten the fixing screws thoroughly.
The tilling depth can be increased or reduced by lowering or raising the rear foot. Turn the tip of the foot
forward when working in hard, compacted ground; turn back when the soil is not very firm (fig. 8).
