7.3- ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

BEFORE ALL OPERATIONS, DISCONNECT THE MACHINE
FROM THE PRIMARY SUPPLY MAINS
The lasting efficiency of the welding system is directly linked with the frequency of maintenance opera-
tions, in particular:
For welding machines, it is sufficient to keep the inside clean; the dustier the working environment, the
more frequently the inside should be cleaned.
- Remove the cover.
- Remove every trace of dust from the internal parts of the generator using a jet of compressed air with
pressure not higher than 3 Kg/cm2.
- Check all the electrical connections, ensuring that screws and nuts are firmly secured.
- Do not hesitate to replace worn components.
- Replace the cover.
- Once the above operations have been completed, the generator is ready for service, following the in-
structions given in the chapters on "system installation".
7.4– LIFTING THE GENERATOR WITH A HOIST
To lift the generator using mechanical lifting means, fit hooks to the four points (two at the front and two
at the back). (SEE PHOTO).
