4. Initial use
Check if the product and the components are intact and if the appliance is working
properly when using it for the first time Remove the kettle and the base station
out of the packaging and connect the base to a properly installed earthed socket.
Wipe the surface of the kettle using a slightly dampened cloth. To remove any
manufacturing residues, fill the water container once with cold water up to the
maximum mark before using it for the first time. Boil the water by pressing the
"ON/OFF" button (6) down in the direction of "ON". The power indicator in the
"ON/OFF" button (6) starts glowing. The kettle then boils the water. Discard the
water after the initial boiling.
This appliance is intended for domestic use and similar applications such as: In staff
kitchens, in shops, offices and other business areas, in agricultural properties, by
customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities as well as B&Bs. Do not
operate the appliance unattended and check it for damage and proper assembly
before using it each time.
