3.2 Distinguishing feature – W3/IFA certified
The product is manufactured in two versions:

Version – non-IFA certified
•
Version – IFA certified

The standard version of the product is IFA certified.
This means that the product fulfils the requirements of the 'W3/IFA
certified' welding fume separation class. Adherence to this standard is
certified by the IFA (Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the
German Social Accident Insurance).
For the sake of simplification, in this operation manual this is indicated in
the following with an IFA notice logo.
The IFA notice logo highlights important notes and information relating to
the IFA product.
Labelling on the
product
IFA
The IFA version is marked, on the product, with the DGUV test symbol and
a W3/IFA certified (identification of the welding fume class) label.
3.3 Intended use
The product is designed to extract welding fumes from electric welding at
their source and filter them out. In general, the product can be used for all
work processes in which welding fumes are released. However, it is
important to ensure that no "sparks" are drawn into the product from, e.g.
a grinding process.
