Adjustment of the bead-breaker arms
and replacement of the sliders
During technical assistance always check that the roll-
ers are aligned.
Procedure:
1.
Mount a rim on the self-centering chuck;
2.
Bring the upper roller in contact with the rim;
3.
Check that the lower roller is at the same distance
(max 1mm).
If he rollers are not aligned proceed as follows:
1.
Remove the side covers n°57 and n°60;
2.
Loosen the rear adjustment screws n°11;
3.
Extract the support n°10;
4.
Introduce remove the spacers n°7 until achievement
of the correct distance;
5.
Remount the support;
6.
Pull the adjustment screws until preventing the slid-
ing of the arm (in order to adjust the sliders);
7.
Loosen the adjusters a half turn;
8.
Check correct sliding along the entire stroke length
9.
Tighten the counter-nuts.

Tool replacement

1.
Remove the old tool by removing one of the two
seeger rings and the pin;
2.
Insert the new tool and proceed with adjustment.

Replacement of the helicoid of the
tool holding arm
1.
Remove closing cap N°33;
2.
With a long wrench remove the grub screw in the
inside;
3.
Remove the pin;
4.
Proceed to replacement of the helicoid N°28;
5.
Reinsert the pin;
6.
Tighten the grub screw;
7.
Close cap N°33;
8.
Mount the tool.

Tool adjustment and AUTO button
setting
1.
Lock a rim on the self-centering chuck;
2.
Bring the sliding rollers at about 1mm distance from
the edge of the rim;
3.
Press the AUTO button and check where the tool
positions itself;
4.
If it does not position at the same distance proceed
as follows:
$
Move the tool manually until correct position
(about 1mm);
$
Unscrew the microswitch under the tool holding
arm;
$
Move the microswitch until the tip clicks in the
guide slot ;
$
Tighten again the screws.
$
Check correct functioning.
