Attention:
The flexible cover of the Hydraulic Unit must be protected from mechanical damage.
The Hydraulic Unit should not be removed, as its position within the joint has been
accurately adjusted. In case of any malfunctions, please return the complete joint.
Attention
To eliminate noise in the cosmetic foam cover, use 519L5 Silicone Spray. Do not use
talcum powder! Talcum powder reduces the lubrication of the mechanical parts, which
may lead to a malfunction and thus increase the risk of falling. Using this medical product
after application of talcum powder will render all claims against Otto Bock Orthopedic
Industry null and void.
Apply 519L5 Silicone Spray directly on the friction surfaces of the cosmetic foam cover!
7 Warranty
Warranty applies only when product is used as intended, without modification, following all
manufacturer's recommendations. This product has been tested according to ISO re-
commendations. Otto Bock will offer an extended warranty of 2 years, if exclusively Modular
Components have been installed according to the Otto Bock Classification
the Terms of Warranty).
8 Declaration of Conformity
Otto Bock, as manufacturer with sole responsibility, declares that the 3R46 Modular Poly-
centric Knee Joint with Hydraulic Swing Phase Control conforms to the requirements of
Guideline 93/42 EEC.
