1- Insert the venous infusion bag into the pump. A slot at the top allows the device to be hung.
2- Repeatedly compress the bulb until the desired pressure is obtained, which can be read on the pressure gauge graduated with millimetres in mercury (mmHg).
3- Vary the pressure applied by the venous infusion bag using the bulb (to increase it) or the vent valve (to decrease it).
10. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

10.1 CLEANING
Failure to carry out the correct cleaning operations could increase the risk of cross-infection due to presence of body fluids and/or residues.
The operator must wear suitable personal protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles, etc. during all checking and cleaning operations.

The subministration bag must not be immersed in water. Wash with a damp sponge and neutral soap. Never use solvents or stain removers. If disinfecting, use products that
do not have a solvent or corrosive action on materials constituting the device.
Then remove all traces of detergent, which could deteriorate it or compromise its conditions and durability.
Let dry completely before storing. Drying after washing or after use in a wet environment must be natural and not forced. Do not use flames or other direct heat sources.
10.2 MAINTENANCE

Routine maintenance is the responsibility of the user, who must carry out checks before and after each use and in any case at least every 3 months:
• General functionality of the device
• Cleanliness of the device (remember that the failure of cleaning may cause the risk of cross infections)
• Presence of cuts, holes, abrasions

• Inflation bulb seal
• Pressure gauge conditions and functionality
• Fulfilment of the requirements of the user manual in section Warnings and Specific Warnings and fulfilment of the requirements of the manual in section on Proper use.

10.3 LIFE SPAN
The device, if used as described in the following instructions, has a life span of 5 years from the date of purchase. Beyond this time, the device must be disposed of.
