8 Connecting the video splitter

Ensure that all lines are connected correctly. The control line may never be con-
nected to earth; doing so can damage the device. Make especially sure to insu-
late the bare end of the control line when it is not in use and not connected.

If you have a monitor that may only be used for 12 V and 24 V electrics, a voltage
converter must be installed.
The circuit diagram for the video splitter can be found in fig. 5, page 6:
Item Connection description
rt/sw Red/black cable: connected positive (ignition)
sw Black cable: connection to earth (terminal 31)
ws White cable: connection to R switch-plug
gr Grey cable: connection to L switch-plug
rt Red cable: connection to (11–32V) B+ (e. g. connected positive,
terminal 15)
bl Blue cable: connection to the "reverse gear" control cable on the monitor
(standby/monitor)
gn Green cable: control signal input for the split function
br Brown cable: control signal input for activating the CA2 camera input
ge Yellow cable: connection to B switch-plug
or Orange cable: control signal for activating the CA1 camera input with
priority (connect to the reversing light)
1 Camera connection 1 (rear view camera)
2 Camera connection 2 (side camera)
3 Output for reversing monitor (cinch)
4 Output for reversing monitor (mini DIN)
