5. Before initial use
Check if the product and the components are intact and if the appliance is work-
ing properly when using it for the first time. Take the appliance out of the package
and remove all the packaging material. Then rinse and dry the cooking vessel, rice
spoon, steam cooking attachment and the measuring cup thoroughly. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents.
Before plugging in the appliance, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds
to the product specifications.
Before placing the inner vessel into the rice cooker, please check if there are
any rice grains or other food residues at the bottom of the inner vessel and the
heating element. If this is the case, please remove them first and then place the
inner vessel. After placing the inner vessel, please turn it left and right to ensure
that the inner vessel is sitting securely on the heating element.
6. Usage
6.1 Mounting / removing the inner lid

Hold the handles at the back of the inner lid at the top left and right with both
hands, and pull them till the inner lid audibly comes out. Remove the inner
upwards (see Fig. 1).
