READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
WARNING
For your safety, t he informat ion in t his manual must be followed to minimize t he risk of fire, elect ric
shock or personal injury.
• Use t his appliance only for it s int ended purpose as
described in t his Owner's Manual.
• This dehumidifier must be properly inst alled and grounded
as described in t his manual before it is used.
• Never operat e t his dehumidifier in an area t hat is likely t o
accumulat e st anding wat er. If t his condit ion develops, for
your safet y disconnect t he power supply before st epping
int o t he wat er.
• Never unplug your dehumidifier by pulling on t he power
cord. Always grip plug firmly and pull st raight out from t he
recept acle.
• Immediat ely replace all elect ric service cords t hat have
become frayed or ot herwise damaged. A damaged power
supply cord must be replaced wit h a new power supply cord
obt ained from t he manufact urer and not repaired. Do not
use a cord t hat shows cracks or abrasion damage along it s
lengt h or at eit her t he plug or connect or end.
• If t he recept acle does not mat ch t he plug, t he recept acle
must be changed out by a qualified elect rician
• If t he SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by t he
manufact urer, it s service agent or similarly qualified person
in order t o avoid a hazard.
• The appliance shall be inst alled in accordance wit h nat ional
wiring regulat ions.
• Turn t he dehumidifier OFF and unplug it before cleaning.

HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITY
Do not , under any circumst ances, cut or remove t he t hird
(ground) prong from t he power cord. For personal safet y, t his
appliance must be properly grounded.
DO NOT use an adapt er plug wit h t his appliance.
The power cord of t his appliance is equipped wit h a 3- prong
(grounding) plug which mat es wit h a st andard 3- prong
(grounding) wall out let t o minimize t he possibilit y of elect ric
shock hazard from t his appliance.
Have t he wall out let and circuit checked by a qualified
elect rician t o make sure t he out let is properly grounded.

• Haier does not support any servicing of t he dehumidifier.
We st rongly recommend t hat you do not at t empt t o
service t he dehumidifier yourself.
• For your safet y, do not st ore or use combust ible mat erials,
gasoline or ot her flammable vapors or liquids in t he vicinit y
of t his or any ot her appliance.
• All dehumidifiers cont ain refrigerant s, which under federal
law must be removed prior t o product disposal. If you are
get t ing rid of an old product wit h refrigerant s, check wit h
t he company handling disposal about what t o do.
• Do not use out doors.
• This dehumidifier is int ended for indoor resident ial
applicat ions only. This dehumidifier should not be used for
commercial or indust rial applicat ions.
• These R410A Dehumidifier Syst ems require cont ract ors
and t echnicians t o use t ools, equipment and safet y
st andards approved for use wit h t his refrigerant . DO NOT
use equipment cert ified for R22 refrigerant only.
• This appliance can be used by persons wit h reduced physical,
sensory or ment al capabilit ies or lack of experience and
knowledge if t hey have been given supervision or inst ruct ion
concerning use of t he appliance in a safe way and underst and
t he hazards involved.
• DO NOT use surge prot ect ors or mult i- out let adapt ors
wit h t his Dehumidifier.
Where a 2- prong wall out let is encount ered, it is your
personal responsibilit y and obligat ion t o have it replaced wit h
a properly grounded 3- prong wall out let .
The dehumidifier should always be plugged int o it s own
individual elect rical out let , which has a volt age rat ing
mat ching t he rat ing plat e.
This provides t he best performance and also prevent s
overloading house wiring circuit s, which could cause a fire
hazard from overheat ed wires.
