3.7 Safety devices

• Built-in safety device: When not working, after 1 minute the trigger has to be pressed 3 times to re-start the
shear; after 5 minutes the electronic card has to be switched off and then on by means of the selector (19) to re-
start the shear; after 20 minutes the battery automatically disconnects from the power supply, so it has to be
started again by means of the switch (8).
• Inner protection device: Stops the tool due to inner overheating. It is indicated on the display by the flashing
word STOP followed by OVERLOAD.
• Heat-protection device: Stops the tool when the pre-set safety threshold has been reached, and allows to use it
again only when the temperature decreases by 5° C at least. It may take few minutes and is indicated on the
display by the flashing word STOP followed by MAX_TEMP.
• Battery self-stopping: Happens automatically after 20 minutes without working.
• ON-OFF led light (13): Indicates that the shear is working.
• Mechanic guard (17): Protects the trigger (12) from accidental operating.
• Arm cable-fastener: Keeps the cable close to the operator's arm so that he can move freely and the tool does
