Maintenance of the ProPass Conveyor
and Swivel Kit

Safety Checks

At the start of each day, complete these safety checks
before operating the ProPass Conveyor. Report any safety
problems to an authorized TYCROP Distributor and your
supervisor. See the Safety Instructions in this manual for
details.

Hydraulic System

Check the hydraulic system for oil leaks. If you find
a leak, tighten the fitting, or replace or repair the
damaged part.
Check the hydraulic hoses for wear or visible
damage.
: If the hydraulic lines are not

properly connected, they may come
apart during use. To test the connection,
try to pull it apart.

Conveyor Belt and Rollers

Check the front and rear bearings every two months
for wear or visible damage.
Check the condition and tension of the conveyor belt.

Belt Seals

Check all rubber seals for wear or damage. Replace
or repair the seals if any leakage occurs.

Guards

Check that all guards are in place and tight

Tensioning the conveyor belt

The conveyor belt on the ProPass Conveyor uses a V-
Guide system to correctly track the belt. The adjusters on
the conveyor are used to tension the belt if it begins to
slip or becomes loose.

Conveyor Belt Tensioning Procedure

1. Loosen the locknut (white arrow) on the adjuster
bolt on both sides on the conveyor. See Figure
40.
2. Turn the tensioning nut (black arrow) on the
adjuster bolt, being sure to turn each side a small
amount, alternating sides to ensure even tension
is applied.
3. Check the belt for tension by running the
conveyor full speed and watching for the belt to
slip. If the belt slips repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. When the belt tension is satisfactory, tighten the
locknuts.
