Setting up your CD boombox

To unpack and set up your CD boombox:
1 Remove your CD boombox and all packing material from the
carton. The detachable AC power cord is in a separate carton.
Make sure the cord is not accidentally discarded.
2 Press OPEN/CLOSE in the CD area, then remove the white
packing card in the CD compartment.

Power sources

Your CD boombox is designed to operate on AC 120V~60Hz or by
using eight C batteries (not included). Attempting to operate your CD
boombox from any other power source may cause damage not
covered by your warranty.
To operate on AC power:
1 Unwind and fully extend the AC power cord.
2 Insert the small end of the AC power cord into the AC power
connector on the back of your CD boombox.
3 Insert the other end of the AC power cord into any convenient AC
120V~60Hz outlet.
To install batteries:
1 Remove the battery cover on the bottom of your CD boombox by
sliding the compartment door towards the back of your CD
boombox and lifting the door.
2 Insert eight C size batteries (not included) matching the + and -
inside the compartment.
3 Replace the compartment door.
Note: The power cord must be disconnected from the AC power
connector on the back of your CD boombox in order for your CD
boombox to operate on battery power.
