7 WORKING TECHNIQUES (06, 07)
WARNING! Hazards from loose material!
Sawing of material that is not clamped can lead
to serious injuries.
Saw material only when it is securely
clamped.
Contact the material with the saw blade of
the handsaw only when the handsaw has
reached its full speed.
Ensure that the material to be sawn is se-
curely clamped – any movement of the mate-
rial will influence the sawing result.
Start to cut only when the sabre saw has
reached its full speed.
Do not apply excessive force during sawing –
a uniform, gentle pressure offers the best re-
sults.
With thick workpieces: Place foot plate (06/1)
firmly onto workpiece (06/2) and move the
sabre saw slowly and uniformly around the
workpiece (06/a).
With thin workpieces: Fix workpiece (07/1)
between retaining bracket (07/2) and foot
plate (07/3). Then push the sabre saw slowly
and uniformly downwards (07/a).
Reduce the pressure shortly before the mate-
rial is sawn through completely.
Wait until the saw blade has come to a com-
plete standstill before removing it from the
workpiece.
The saw blade becomes very hot during op-
eration. Allow it to cool down before touching
it.
Saw dust can be toxic. Therefore ensure
good ventilation at the place of work and
wear a face mask.
Saw dust can ignite. Therefore dispose of
saw dust as quickly as possible.
