IMPORTANT NOTES

• Before plugging the coffee maker into the mains,
check that the voltage corresponds to that stated on
the characteristics plate. The use of an electrical
socket with an earth connection is recommended.
• Always place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
Avoid moving the appliance while it is operating.
• The glass jugs are designed for use with this coffee
maker. They must not be used on cooker hobs or in
micro-wave ovens. Never place the hot jugs on a cold
or damp surface. Do not pour cold water into the
jugs while they are still hot. Do not use the jugs if
they are cracked or if the handle comes loose.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended, especially
when children are about.

• Switch the coffee maker off and unplug it from the
mains when it is not in use and before cleaning it.
Leave it to cool down before putting it away or
removing pieces and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate the coffee maker without water.
• Before using the espresso coffee maker make sure
that the water tank has been closed correctly. Do not
try to open the cap on the tank while it is still under
pressure.
• The switches should be in the OFF position both
when plugging the appliance in as well as unplugging it.
• Never unplug it by tugging on the mains cable nor
leave the plug hanging freely.
Keep the appliance and the cable away from hot
surfaces.
• Do not operate the appliance if either the cable or
plug are damaged, or if it is not operating correcting.

MAKING DRIP-FEED COFFEE (Fig. 2 - 6)
1. Fill the water tank (6) with cold water. A quantity
of less than two cups is not recommended.
2. Fit the permanent filter (8) into the filter holder (7).
Put in one measure of coffee for each cup of water.

• This coffee maker may be used with nº 4 type
paper filters.
• For correct operation, do not use too finely
ground a coffee.
Place the jug (2), with its lid fitted, onto the hot plate
(1), plug the coffee maker into the mains and press
the "Coffee
" switch (3). The pilot lamp will
come on, indicating that the coffee maker is
operating.
You may serve a cup of coffee before the brew cycle
has finished. Upon removing the glass jug from the
hot plate, the dripping will be temporarily detained.
Return the glass jug to the hot plate within 20 seconds.
MAKING ESPRESSO COFFEE (Fig. 8 - 13)
1. Plug the appliance into the mains and check that
the "Espresso & Cappuccino" switch (10) is in the
OFF position and that the steam regulator (12) is
closed.
2. Unscrew the lid on the tank (9) and pour in the
desired amount of water. The jug (16) shows the
amounts required for two or four cups. Screw the
lid back on and tighten it securely.
3. Place the filter (15) into the filter holder (14). Use
the filter's two or four cup level marks to gauge the
amount of coffee needed. Clean off any coffee that
may be left around the edge of the filter holder.
