1.1 Description

The compressors dealt with in this manual belong to the range designed for the building
industry, which includes power compressors (motor-driven) in a power range from 1.5 to
4 HP and explosion engine compressors in a power range from 3 to 11 HP.
compressors achieve 8 bar max. pressure and are equipped with specific dust-protection
filters and wheels for best use in the building yard.
1.2 Expected use
Many pneumatic tools may be fitted to your compressor
for every day work. In case of larger building yard, all
compressors are equipped with connection for specific
building application and pressure relief valve for loadless
running so that compressed air is used at its best.
For technical specifications and information, please see
the instructions provided for each specific tool.
1.3 Standard Accessories (Fig. 1)
- Manual for Use and Maintenance
- Oil Dipstick
- Wheels, Vibration-damping Pad (if not already fitted)
- Technical Data Sheet (size and weight).
1.4 Safety general warnings
Before operating your compressor read this Manual very carefully.
Your compressor was designed, manufactured and arranged for the operations depicted
below. Any other use is not allowed.
The MANUFACTURER assumes no responsibility for any damages resulting from
improper use or for non-compliance with the instructions described in this manual.
WHAT YOU MUST DO:
Learn how to use all controls and how to stop the compressor suddenly.
Before carrying out any service to your compressor, ensure all pressure has been
released from the tank and the power has been cut off or the explosion engine has been
switched off so as to prevent any sudden unexpected re-start.
After any maintenance operation, make sure all components have been fitted correctly.
Before switching on the compressor, in order to ensure working safety, always follow the
recommended procedures described in § Setting-up.
Keep out children or animals from the operating area so as to prevent damages or injuries
caused by any accessory connected to your compressor.
Read carefully the instructions regarding the accessory fitted; moreover, when the spray
gun is used, ensure that the area is provided with proper air change system.
WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO:
Do not work in closed areas or near naked flames.
Do not touch the head, the cylinders, the cooling fins and the feed pipe. During operation
they achieve high temperature and keep hot for a certain time even after switching off the
compressor.
Do not leave inflammable, nylon objects, or cloths near/on the compressor.
Do not move the compressor with air tank under pressure or fuel tank still full (explosion
engine model).
Do not use the compressor when the supply cord is damaged or with precarious electric
connection.
Do not direct the air jet towards people or animals.
Do not allow anyone to operate the compressor unless he/she has received correct
instructions.
Do not hit the flywheel and the fans with metallic or sharp objects as they could break
during operation.
Do not operate the compressor without air filter.
Do not carry out any repair or adjustment operations on safety valve and tank.
