MAKING YOGHURT
When you add milk bacteria to milk, the bacteria start to multiply. This creates a thick creamy mixture, i.e.
yoghurt. You can use different types of milk: pasteurised, sterilised, long-life UHT, but also plant-based
'milk' products, such as soya or nut milk. All of these can be used to make your yoghurt.
Add an existing yoghurt culture to the milk, which you can find in, for example, natural yoghurt from the
supermarket, or homemade yoghurt, or you can also buy the yoghurt bacteria in powder form from the
health food shops, chemists, or online. A good ratio is 1 litre of milk with 125 ml of plain yoghurt for 8
hours.
EXTENDED COOLING FEATURE
If the appliance is not switched off and the ice is not removed immediately after the end of the turning
process, the machine automatically switches to the cooling feature. The display shows 'cool'. The
appliance will then cool for another 2 hours to maintain the consistency of the ice cream. During this
cooling feature, the appliance will measure the hardness and occasionally mix and cool when necessary.
Thereafter, it switches back to the base state.
