AIR CLEANER
A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburetor, reducing
engine performance. If you operate the engine in very dusty areas,
clean the air filter ele ment m ore often than specified in the
M AIN TEN A N CE SCHED ULE.
O perating the engine without an air filter ele ment, or with a
da maged air filter ele ment, will allow dirt to enter the engine,
causing rapid engine wear. This type of da mage is not covered by
the Distributor's Limited W arranty.

Press the latch tab on the top of the air cleaner cover, and re m ove
the cover. Inspect the filter ele ment. Clean or replace dirty filter
ele ments. Always replace da maged filter ele ments.
