INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE

1. Connect the black terminal clamp to the negative (NEG/N/-) post of the battery
(see Fig. A and B).
2. Connect the red terminal clamp to the positive (POS/P/+) post of the battery
(see Fig. A and B).
3. Connect the quick-release connector of the charging leads to the quick-release
receptacles on the charger unit (C).
4. Place the installed leads over the engine hood/door so that any damage of the
leads is prevented.
5. Plug the power cord of the charger into a mains outlet.
6. If the connections are not correct, unplug the power cord from the mains,
disconnect the quick-release connectors, and reconnect properly. Reinstall as
specified in the items above.
CAUTION! DO NOT attempt to connect/disconnect the terminal clamps of
the charging leads with the quick-release connectors in the receptacles!
OPERATION
1. If the 6 V and 12 V LED indicators are flashing, press MODE to select the
charging mode.
→ Single press: selects the 12 V charging voltage. The appliance will
switch to the battery type (SDT, AGM, or LIT) selection input. Input
the selection by pressing MODE.
→ To set the 6 V charging voltage, press MODE (if 12 V and the battery
type were not selected, the charger unit will switch to 6 V). The
appliance will switch to the battery type (SDT, AGM, or LIT) selection
input. Input the selection by pressing MODE.
