Placing the Chain in the Vise

WARNING
– Wear personal protective equipment
– All adjustments must be made with the motor switched off and the grinding wheel completely stopped
– In the case of accidental impact or collision of the grinding wheel during the sharpening process, follow the
instructions given in the "CHOOSING AND INSTALLING THE GRINDING WHEEL – WARNINGS" section
– To avoid overloading the motor excessively and to avoid damaging the chain cutters,
remove minimum amount of material with a tapping action and avoid holding the grinding
wheel on the cutter continuously as this will cause the cutting edge to burn
– Do not use cooling liquids during the sharpening process
– Clean the chain before sharpening it
– Check the cutters and find the one with the most damage, you will want to start with this cutter
– Ensure chain is placed in vise as shown, cutter direction heading toward right
Set the Vise Rotate Angle
Loosen the vise adjustment knob (12)
Rotate vise assembly (B) to desired angle
Rotate to left for right-hand cutters
and right for left-hand cutters

Tighten the vise adjustment knob (12)
