6. Cleaning

Never use water jets to clean the equipment. Do not pour water onto or inside the machine or
any of its componentes.
Let the machine cool down completely before cleaning.
 It is possible to run the automatic cleaning program on various groups simultaneously.
6.1.

Cleaning of the groups

1. Put the blind filter into a porta-filter and add 1 tablespoon of detergent especially indicated for
coffee machines.
2. Place the porta-filter in the group to be cleaned.
3. Press key 5 and simultaneaously key 1 .
During the cleaning process, both keys stay lit. Once the cleaning is finished, the system
automatically returns to the ON positon.
 Press one of the keys of the active group in order to interrupt the cleaning process. In this case, all
keys of of the keybord light up. The cleaning program consists in 5 cycles of ON and OFF.
4. Take the porta-filter out of the group and press key 5 for a few seconds in order to rinse off any
remains of the detergent.
6.2.

Cleaning of the filters and porta-filters

Bathe filters and porta-filters in hot water with a bit of specific detergente in order to dissolve
incrustations and fat.
6.3.

Cleaning of the grids and trays

Take of the plastic grids from the upper tray and clean them with a humid cloth.
Remove the grid and the protective tray from under the groups. Clean them in hot water with a bit of
specific deterent.
6.4.

Cleaning of the drip tray

Once you have removed the grid and protective tray from below the groups, the machine's drip tray
becomes visible. Carefully clean the tray and its bout with a brush.
6.5.

Cleaning the machine's body

Clean the porta-filters and the groups with a cloth or sponge.
Carefully clean the taps and steam wands in order to remove any leftovers.
Clean the upper tray of the machine and its body with a soft humid cloth and a mild detergent.
