4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WARNING: The use of the device (SUP board) or its parts can cause serious injury
or even death to the user or third parties.
• By using the device you accept all known and unknown, probable and
!
improbable risk of injury.
• Follow all safety instructions in this manual and use care, caution, and
common sense.
• Use the support of a licensed SUP trainer.
GENERAL PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Only physically and mentally fit people who can swim well and safely may use the SUP
board (hereinafter referred to as "board").
• Only use the board after adequate instruction in correct use technique and applicable rules
for traffic on the water.
• Children are only allowed to use the board with the support of appropriate adults.
• Never over-exert yourself or others! Always take into account the individual basic water condition
and form of the day. Know and respect your limits.
• If necessary, seek medical advice before use; especially if you are elderly, have medical problems or
are not very fit.
• The maximum permitted body weight for using the board is 135kg. Do not use the board with
more than one person.
• Never use the board while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
SITE REQUIREMENTS
• Only use the board in calm waters without currents and without obstacles:
- Do not use in white water or other fast flowing water.
- Do not use in high waves or in tidal or other currents.
- Do not use on reefs, rocks, breakwaters, or near other obstructions above or below water.
- Be aware of currents and obstacles.
• Only use the board near an easily accessible bank that can still be reached even if there is air loss
in the board.
• Only use the board when there is sufficient daylight.
• Only use the board in calm, stable weather.
- Never use during thunderstorms or other storms. Never use in offshore winds.
- Pay attention to the weather forecast. Be aware of wind conditions.
- Keep an eye on the weather. Leave the water immediately at the first sign of possibly
dangerous weather.
• Observe the regulations for the use of the board that apply at the place where you use it.
