11. END ACTIVITY, CLEAN AND DEFLATE SUP BOARD

Move to the Edge of the Water and Leave the Water
1. Check that the planned exit point is safe. Pay special attention to obstacles on and under water and
to currents.
2. Kneel on the SUP board and exit carefully.
3. Place the SUP board at the edge of the water. Be careful not to damage it.
4. Remove the safety line ('leash') from the ankle.
5. Carry the SUP board by the carrying handle to a suitable dismantling location and put it down carefully.
Dismantle Middle Fin
1. Slide the side slide-in clip outwards.
2. Slide the center fin out of the holder.
Clean and Inspect the SUP Board and Paddle
1. Rinse the SUP board and fins with clear water. For stubborn dirt, use
a cleaner that is expressly recommended for SUP boards.
- Do not allow soapy water or other cleaning agents to get into water.
- Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. no silicone-based agents).
2. Ensure that the area around the valve is clean.
3. Clean and inspect paddles in the same way.
Deflate SUP Board
1. Lay the SUP board flat on a clean and safe surface.
2. When the area around the valve is clean and dry, unscrew the protective cap from the valve and keep
it safe.
3. Push in the pin on the valve so that it is locked in the lower position. The valve is in the exhaust position
and the air escapes.
4. Roll up the SUP board from the front tip so that as much air as possible escapes.
5. When the SUP board is deflated enough for transport, screw the protective cap securely onto the
valve.
Disassemble Paddle
1. Make sure the paddle is sufficiently clean.
2. Release the safety lever on the paddle. Disassemble Paddle. To do this, carefully press the safety
spring ball on the paddle tube into the tube and slowly pull the tubes apart.
3. Check that the SUP board, fin and paddle are in good condition.
