or intellectual functions. The work area should provide immediate access to the
compressed air shut-off valve. Make sure that the pressure of the air supply to the
unit does not exceed the recommended range.
ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
Hook (A) to the correct height for the application. In addition, attach a safety line
between the hook (B) and the surface on which the balancer is suspended, allowing
for some slack between them as the position of the device changes. Attach the
appropriate nozzles to the inlet and outlet of the hose from the unit (F and G). Select
the size of the inlet and outlet air nozzle to suit your preference - the nozzles are
not included in the unit.
Connect compressed air supply.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT MODEL
When selecting a model for a given application, consider the total weight of the tool
that will be suspended from the spring balancer, i.e. the weight of the tool plus any
accessories. Use the following formula for selection:
weight of the tool + weight of the accessory = kg = range within min/max working
tool 14 kg + accessory 3 kg = 17 kg = correct balancer working load range: 15-22 kg.
IMPORTANT: In case the total weight of the tool and the accessory is within the
extreme upper limit of the working load range of the balancer, choose a balancer
with a higher range. This will ensure longer product life. If one of the tools on the
balancer is a little too light for its working load range, you can add weight between
the line and the snap hook, but still keep in mind the working load of the product.
3.3.

Working with the unit

Hook a suitable pneumatic tool on the device and adjust its counterweight with the
knob (by turning clockwise "+" increase the counterweight, and counterclockwise
"-" decrease it) so that it can freely hover at a given height.
The suspended object should be lifted and lowered, and with a properly selected
and adjusted balancer it should hang by itself at the currently set height.
