Question/ problem - Cause
Causa
The combustion engine doesn't start:
• The fuel tank is empty;
Clogged fuel pipe;
Fuel pipes misplaced or bent;
• The fuel in the tank is of poor quality, is dirty or is
already old;
• Spark plug cap off spark plug;
The ignition cable isn't properly connected;
• The spark plug has soot or is damaged;
Incorrect distance between the electrodes;
• The engine switch is not in the "ON" position;
• There's not enough compression. Little strength is
necessary to pull the recoil starter;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The combustion engine is "wet" due to several
attempts to start it;
• Very low engine oil level;
Generator too inclined;
• The chocke lever is not on OFF position;
Difficulties when starting or the engine power drops:
• Water on the fuel tank and on carburetor;
• The fuel tank is dirty;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The spark plug has soot;
The combustion engine works irregularly:
• The air filter is dirty;
The combustion engine heats up:
• The cooling fins are dirty;
• Combustion engine oil level too low;
Too much smoke:
• The air filter is dirty;
Strong vibrations during operation:
• Engine fixation is loose;
Electric system:
• Set 3 to 1 switch on the "CHOCKE" and pull out the
recoil starter;
• Spark plug wet or with coal;
• Faulty ignition system;
Solution
• Add fuel;
Clean the pipes;
Place the fuel pipes correctly or straighten it;
• Use new fuel (unleaded petrol).
• Fit the spark plug cap onto the spark plug;
Check the connection between the cable and the
plug;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
Adjust the distance between electrodes;
• Set the engine switch to "ON";
• Check that the spark plug is screwed. If not, screw it;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Remove the spark plug and dry it, pull the recoil starter
several times, with the spark plug unscrewed;
• Add oil until you reach the right level;
Place generator on flat floor;
• Turn the chocke lever to OFF position;
• Empty the fuel tank;
• Clean the fuel tank;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean the cooling fins;
• Add oil;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Fasten all the screws;
• Weak spark;
• Remove the coal or dry the spark plug;
