Please note:
Your tong comes with a charging stand as well as a UK/EU charging adaptor and a
separate USB charging cable. You can charge your iGEN Progloss Cordless Ceramic Tong:
•
using the UK/EU charging adaptor with the USB-C end plugged into the battery of
your tong
•
using the UK/EU adaptor plugged into the charging stand (in this instance, you can
charge one or both batteries at the same time)
•
using the USB charging cable plugged into any USB compatible device with the
USB-C end plugged into the battery of your tong
•
using the USB charging cable plugged into any USB compatible device with the
USB-C end plugged into the charging stand (in this instance, you can charge one or
both batteries at the same time)
•
Please note you will need to allow around 3.5 hours for a full charge of one or both
batteries when using any of the above charging methods. The tong will not function
while charging on the stand. When styling your hair, please ensure you keep the
charging base unplugged, otherwise the tong will automatically turn off and charge.

Warning: If the green LED light starts to flash rapidly then the appliance is faulty. If this
happens, please stop charging, remove the adaptor from the mains and contact our
Customer Care Centre for further advice.
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Slot the battery into the recess at the bottom of the tong and align the arrow on the
straightener with the unlock icon (please insert icon) on the battery, then twist clockwise
to align the arrow on the straightener with the lock icon to lock in place. To remove, twist
anti-clockwise to align with the unlock icon and pull.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
•
Before use, ensure your hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
•
For extra protection, apply a heat defence spray.
•
Section your hair prior to styling. Begin with the lower layers.
•
Please ensure the Smart Flight Safe Mode (located on top of the handle of the tong)
is unlocked before use. A white LED light will indicate that Smart Flight Safe Mode
(Feature 7) is unlocked and safe to use.
•
Press and hold the POWER button
switched on, the tong will heat up until it reaches its default temperature of 190°C.
•
Press the POWER button
light indicating the selected temperature setting will move up as you press the POWER
button.
•
REVAMP recommends beginning with the lowest heat setting on initial use before
increasing the temperature until the desired result is achieved. If you have fine,
delicate hair, use the lower heat setting. If you have thick or coarse hair, use the higher
heat setting.
•
The white temperature indicator LED will flash until the tong is ready to use. When it
reaches the selected temperature, the white LED will become constant.
•
WARNING: Always place the appliance in the unplugged charging base provided, on a
flat, heat-resistant surface or the heat-resistant sleeve when not in use.
•
Use the heat resistant glove to avoid any accidental burns.
•
Working with one section at a time, wind the hair as far as you want it curled, being
careful not to let the tong barrel touch the scalp. Hold in place for 5-8 seconds,
depending on the texture and length of your hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, take
