Prepare the desired food and fill a sufficiently high and stable receptacle with the food.
Make sure that the device is disconnected from the power supply.
Insert the purée rod (4) into the bottom of the coupling on the drive unit (3). Click the
purée rod (4) into place. The purée rod (4) must be fitted securely onto the appliance
and must not feel loose or fall off. Use the control dial (1) on the top of the appliance
to select the required speed.
You can also change the speed during operation. Keep the purée rod (4) in the food.
Caution: There may be a slight spray during operation. To avoid spray,
the lower end of the purée rod (4) with the blades should always be
completely covered. Keep the appliance slightly angled when prepar-
ing liquid foods in order for the contents to mix better. If you are

preparing hot food, make sure you do not hold the appliance in the
steam so as to avoid condensation on the drive unit (3). You can use
a small clean cloth to protect the drive unit (3) and your hands from
the hot steam. Immediately wipe off any condensation that forms on
the casing. Now you can insert the mains plug into the socket. Hold the container with
one hand and press the start button (2). The motor starts up. As soon as your food has
reached the desired consistency, release the start button (2). The appliance is designed
to be used for short periods of time. After operating it for 90 seconds, take a break to
allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature. Wait for the motor and purée
rod (4) to come to a standstill and then remove the rod from the mixing bowl. Always
pull the mains plug out of the socket before you clean the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
Remove the power plug immediately after use.
Clean the purée rod (4) immediately after every use. To pre-clean the purée rod (4), just
move it quickly from side to side for a short while in a container filled with hot water.
Then, for best results, remove the purée rod (4) from the drive unit (3) for further
cleaning.
The drive unit (3) must not be cleaned in a dishwasher.
The drive unit (3) should never be placed in water, only wiped down on the outside
with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents.

▪ This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted to the mains
lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket outlets or needs to be replaced, please
note the following. If the plug is a non-rewireable one, cut it from the mains lead
and immediately dispose of it. Never insert it into a socket outlet as there is a very
great risk of an electric shock.
