16. Route the lead cable so that it is prevented
from being pulled or tripped over.
17. Never wrap the lead cable around the
appliance;
18. Use the electric kettle only indoors.
19. Use the appliance only for heating water. Do
not use it to heat milk or other liquids, since
these will boil over when heated.
20. Never heat objects such as cans or bottles in
the electric kettle.
21. Make sure that the lid of the appliance is
always completely closed, to prevent injuries
from hot splashing water.
22. Do not open the lid as long as the water
is boiling, to prevent injuries from hot
splashing water.
23. Never switch the appliance on if there is no
water in the kettle jug.
24. Make sure that all users, especially children,
are aware of the danger of injury from
escaping steam or hot splashing water. Risk
of burns!
25. Never fill the appliance with more than
1.7 litres of water, to prevent the water from
boiling over.
26. Do not move the appliance as long as it
is in operation, to prevent scalding from
splashing water.
27. The electric kettle features boil dry protec-
tion, which automatically shuts the appli-
ance off if the heating element becomes too

FEaTuREs

The water kettle Digital offers 3 features:
Boiling
The water will be heated to the temperature pre-
viously selected. Thus you obtain either tepid or
briskly boiling water.
The temperature is adjustable from 40 °C to
100 °C in steps of 5°C at a time.
The default setting is 100 °C.
temperature maintenance
The water previously boiled is maintained at its
temperature afterwards. The temperature to be
maintained is adjustable from 40 °C to 90 °C in
steps of 5°C at a time. The temperature to be
maintained can be selected only as high as the
set boiling temperature.
There is no default setting for the temperature
to be maintained. The temperature maintenance
hot. Allow the appliance to cool off during
approx. 15 minutes. Then fill the kettle jug
with cold water. The boil dry protection will
be deactivated and the appliance is ready
for operation again.
28. Do not use the appliance with accessories
of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent
damage.
29. Disconnect the appliance from the wall
socket after use and prior to cleaning. Never
leave the appliance unattended when it is
connected to the wall socket.
30. Check the appliance, the wall socket and
the lead cable regularly for wear or damage.

damages, please send the appliance or the
base to our after sales service for inspection
and repair (for address, see warranty terms).
Unauthorised repairs can constitute serious
risks for the user and void the warranty.
31. If the lead cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its after
sales service or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid any hazard.

This feature guarantees the right temperature

Boiling point prolongation
This feature allows extending the time after
which the appliance switches off after reaching
the boiling point, up to a maximum of 6 seconds.
This is important when you need water of at
least 100°C.
At high altitudes, water can boil already at a
temperature of approx. 96 °C. In order to ensure
that the water reaches a temperature of 100°C
(e. g. for baby food), the boiling time during
