PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Mixers of the CUBIC series are fit for operating with hot water
collectors under pressure, instantaneous and gas water-
heaters.
ATTENTION: the connection with hot water collectors
without pressure (with open circuit) is not possible.
TECHNICAL DATA
- Minimum dynamic pressure . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0,5 bar
- Maximum operational pressure (static) . . . . . . . . 10 bar
- Recommended operational pressure (static) . . . . 1-5 bar
(N.B.: for pressures higher than 5 bar we suggest the
installation of a pressure reducer)
- Maximum test pressure (static) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 16 bar
- Maximum hot water temperature . . . . . . . . . . . . 80°C
- Suggested hot water temperature . . . . . . . . . . . 60°C
(for energy saving)
INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL PARTS
(ref. Fig. 1 - Fig. 2 - Fig. 3)
- Prepare an appropriate hole in the wall and insert the tap
with the protections ASSEMBLED. The installation proportions
are indicated in Fig. 1 (the admissible depth of the fitting
into the wall is meant with the complete wall including the
coating).
- Screw down the 90° connections (1) and connect the mixer
to the supply pipes (see Fig. 2). Do not weld the mixer to
the pipes.
IMPORTANT: It's an article with rectangular plate. Use the
pattern (A) and the level in order to check that the item is
placed in horizontal position (Fig. 3)
- Open the ducts of water and check the tightness of the
connections (maximum test pressure 16 bar static).
- Fix the plaster and apply the coating protecting all the area
around the protections (see Fig. 4).
INSTALLATION OF EXTERNAL PARTS (ref. Fig. 5)
After completing the coating take out the protections.
- Screw by hand the tube (1) on the body until reaching the
end of stroke, insert the cap (2) and assemble the covering
plate (3) (to align the rotation plate turn CLOCKWISE to
avoid the unscrewing of the tube).
- Insert the spout (4) on the pin and lock it tightening the
screw (5) by an Allen wrench of 3 mm (supplied).
- Assemble the lever (6) screwing the locking pin (7) by an
Allen wrench of 3 mm (supplied).
- Mount the plate for covering the hole (8).
REPLACEMENT OF THE MIXING VALVE
WITH CERAMIC DISCS (ref. Fig. 6)
- Close the hot water and cold water inlets.
- Remove the plate for covering the hole (1) and unscrew the
locking pin (2) using an ALLEN wrench of 3 mm
- Remove the lever and the escutcheon (3) pulling upwards.
- Unscrew the nut (4) by a 32 mm wrench and remove the
mixing valve (5).
- Insert the new mixing valve verifying that no dirt is left
between the plane surface and the gaskets.
- Screw the nut (4) by DYNAMOMETRIC WRENCH applying
a coupling torque of 10Nm.
- Insert the cap and reassemble the lever.
