Note: To avoid the formation of unpleasant odours,
it is recommended not to replace the stopper (e1)
onto the water tank (e).
c) How to Clean the Tank:
Clean at least once a week, pouring a (100 ml) water
solution prepared with 50% white vinegar into the
tank. Tighten the stopper fully, shake the tank for
about 1 minute, unscrew the stopper and pour out all
the water.
Rinse the water tank and stopper thoroughly with cold
drinking water. Let dry without stopper.
Warning! Do not clean the water tank with detergents
or in a dishwasher.
Should the stopper have scale residues, it is necessary
to carry out a descaling cycle as follows: fill half a glass
with a solution made of equal parts of water and white
vinegar.Submerge the stopper in the solution and leave
overnight. At the end of the descaling cycle, rinse
thoroughly with cold drinking water.
4) DESCALING
The normal use of the steriliser can cause the formation
of scale residues on the heating plate. Excessive scale
residues on the heating plate may cause incorrect
operation and prevent the disinfection of the
objects inserted in the appliance, apart from causing
permanent damage to the appliance. Therefore, to
ensure the correct operation of the steriliser, avoid the
accumulation of scale residues.
Clean the heating plate (when it is cold), pouring 200
ml of white vinegar into the tank (at least once a week
or any time there are scale residues), and leave for at
least one night.
Then empty the tank, as indicated in diag. 13.
Remove the scale residues with a soft cloth and rinse
several times, pouring 300 ml of tap water into the
tank.
Pour out the water as indicated in diag. 13 and dry
thoroughly before use.
Warning: Never place the appliance under running
water.
Due to the different types of water (hardness) in
the different geographical areas, the formation
of scale deposits may be more abundant and
take place in a short time. To ensure the correct
operation of the appliance, it is recommended to
carry out descaling cycles more frequently.
The presence of scale residues on the heating plate
may cause a slight noise during use.
