CHARGING AND USE
•The IDX-300 is shipped factory set at the specified intensity for optimal
performance during inspections.
•Turn flashlight upside down and unscrew and remove tail cap from housing and
place included Li-Ion battery positive end towards head of flashlight.Attach provided
lanyard to tail cap.
•Replace tail cap by screwing into flashlight housing.
•At center of flashlight is USB-C charging port, connect provided USB Type-C cable
into flashlight and opposite end into provided 5V Power Adapter.
•The flashlight's charging indicator light displays red when charging and green
when fully charged. disconnect flashlight from USB Type C cable when charging is
complete. Indicator light turns red and blue light light flashes when power is below
10% capacity.
•The IDX-300 has one switch (on and off) on rear of tail cap. Prior to using the
unit, ensure that the switch is in the off position (no light illuminating from the
flashlight). IDX-300 has 3 modes (medium white light, strong white light, and
UV -A light) operated by the tail switch. Instant-on operation ensures that the lights
will reach full intensity immediately. Check to see if the unit is operating optimally
on all modes and turn the flashlight off.
MEASURING UV-A INTENSITY
To ensure that your Featherweight IDX-300 flashlight is operating at the required
UV-A intensity, it should be checked periodically. The AccuPRO™ XP-2000
combines the functionality of a UV and visible light radiometer/photometer, and is
specially designed to measure UV irradiance with wavelengths of 320–400nm
(with peak at 365nm) and visible light from 460–675nm (with peak at 555nm). Other
suitable meters include the AccuMAX™ XRP-3000 radiometer/photometer kit,
using dual-wavelength UV-A and VIS sensor detectors to accurately measure the
irradiance of a light source. The AccuMAX™ XR-1000 digital readout unit with the
XS-365 UV sensor or the DM-365XA digital readout unit can also be used for UV-A
measurement.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF FLASHLIGHT
•It is suggested to regularly replace or lubricate the included O-ring and screw thread
to ensure seal and smooth tail cap removal and replacement.
•Turn off flashlight and ensure unit is cool before cleaning filter glass. Please use lens
tissue, or non-dust cloth for cleaning.
•For long term storage remove battery from flashlight.
•Be sure to use genuine Nano 365 Series replacement parts. Using another
manufacturer's parts could affect product performance and will void the lamp's
warranty.
CARE AND USE OF LITHIUM ION (Li-ion) BATTERIES
•Do not allow Li-ion batteries to fully discharge frequently, since this will put a
strain on the batteries. They will work more efficiently on multiple partial discharges
through
•When not in use remove the batteries from the flashlight and store separately.
•Before prolonged storage (30 days or more), charge the battery for at least two
hours. Store partially charged for best results.
•Store in a cool environment away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Store
the battery at temperatures between 5 °C and 20 °C (41 °F and 68 °F).
•The battery self-discharges during storage. Higher temperatures (above 20 °C or 68 °F)
will reduce the battery storage life.
•Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to disposal and recycling regulations that vary by
country and region. Always check and follow your applicable regulations before
disposing of any battery.
WARRANTY
The warranty policy for the IDX-300 is provided on the Certificate of Limited
Warranty enclosed separately with each unit. The part number is located below the
lamp head and serial number is located further down below the indicator light.
