Follow additional safety instructions when using together with another hoisting device.
Observe the legal regulations governing the use and periodic inspection of hoisting equipment. This refers to
current legislation.
Before starting any hoisting work:
1.
Check that the hoisting device is working properly.
2.
Make sure that the hooks of the hoisting device are securely seated in the rings of the hoisting device.
3.
The hooks of the hoisting device must be equipped with a locking clip (safety hook system) to prevent the
device from coming loose during handling.
4.
Any other hoisting components must be adapted to the maximum lifting capacity of the hoisting device.
5.
Remember that the four (4) loops of the Big-Bag are correctly hooked into the device.
6.
Make sure that there are no persons in the working area except those necessary for the operation of
tools and hoisting equipment.
7.
Start lifting the load carefully, avoiding jolts. Make sure that there is always a full view of the moving load.
8.
Keep an eye on the hoisting speed. The speed may not exceed 22 m/min.
9.
Make sure the load does not collide with anything, and that it does get stuck anywhere.
10.
Plot the manoeuvre so that the load does not have to move over people, or over spots where a possible
unforeseen fall of the load would pose an additional risk.
11.
Never make diagonal movements! First lift vertically, then position horizontally. Never pull loads
sideways.
12.
Never leave your workstation while the device is still in the air (with or without load).
13.
Never hoist persons with or assisted by a hoisting device.
14.
Stop hoisting if you notice an irregularity, and immediately warn the person responsible.
15.
Never walk under the load.
4.
Checks before every use
It is important to check the device for damage (e.g. warped or missing parts, cracks in the welds) before every
use. A damaged tool must never be used. If any damage is found, please notify the personnel responsible for
further action. After any repairs, the equipment must be re-tested by an approved hoisting and lifting company.
