LANDMANN
HOME OF FIRE
1. Connecting correctly:
○ Make sure that all control knobs on your barbecue are in the OFF position.
○ Connect the pressure regulator of your barbecue to the liquid gas cylinder. Make sure that the
connection is secure.
○ Check whether all connections are tight (check for a leak, see instructions or landmann.com).
2. Igniting correctly:
○ Open the lid of your barbecue.
○ Turn on the liquid gas cylinder.
○ Turn the control knob for one burner to the maximum position and activate the ignition.
Once the burner has been ignited, turn on more burners one by one.
○ Close the lid and allow your barbecue to heat up to the grilling temperature you want.
3. Burning in correctly - Part I:
○ Before you first use your barbecue, any production residues need to be removed. Ignite the burners
as described above and allow them to burn for approx. 25 min on maximum heat and without
cooking any food. Close the lid to do this.
When the residues burn off, smoke will be produced. Once there is no more smoke or odour,
the residues have been removed.
4. Burning in correctly - Part II:
○ Brush a thin layer of sunflower oil or rapeseed oil on the grill rack and insert it in your barbecue.
○ Switch on the relevant burner at the maximum temperature.
○ Close the lid and allow the grill rack to burn in without any food on it until no more smoke is
produced.
Enamelled racks and stainless steel racks do not need to be burned in.
5. Cleaning correctly:
○ Burn out your barbecue: Switch it on at maximum power and close the lid. Allow your barbecue to
operate for 10 to 20 minutes so that any grease or food residues can burn up. Then wait until it has
cooled down and wipe it with a damp cloth.
○ Empty the grease tray and the grease pan. The best way to remove coarse residues is to scrape
them with a wooden spatula or similar implement.
○ You should regularly give your barbecue a thorough clean. You will find an explanation of how to
do this on our website by scanning the QR code:
