TRAPP shredders leave factory with temperate
cutting blades.
Sharpen the cutting blades when the edge is dull.
Whenever sharpening, be careful to remove the
same amount of material from each cutting blade to
keep balance and to avoid vibrations of the axle unit.
The cutting blades shall be substituted whenever
optimum sharpening is no longer possible.
In order to execute the wiring, proceed as described
below:
1. Remove the screw (1), the lockwasher (2), the
plain washer (3) and the upper cutting blade
(4).
2. Afterwards,
12 mm (5), and the lower cutting blade (6).
3. Then, remove the separator of 16 mm (7), the
hexagonal screws (8), the lockwasher (9), the
nut (10) and the lower cutting blade (11).
4. Check the shank (13) alignment before
completing the assembly of the blade
assembly, if necessary align the shanks to
avoid excessive vibration of the cutter
assembly.
5. Assemble the blades in the same direction
and position as shown in the side picture to
ensure that the cutter assembly is working;
incorrectly mounting the blades may damage
the equipment and cause loss of warranty.
Before turning on the machine after assembling the
blades, manually rotate the cutter assembly and
check that it runs clear from any part of the crusher.
If you notice an excessive vibration when starting the
crusher, check the blade assembly step; if you still
have problems, call a TRAPP Service Technician.
