3.6 How to plug the instrument in
Risk of electric shock. Only use the included power supply. Use of other power supplies
can damage the device and harm the user.
Risk of electric shock. Cable break can lead to exposure to conduction cables. Stop using
the device immediately and remove the power supply from the outlet if possible.

Four adapters are provided for adapting the power pack to the available mains connection.
The sealing protecting the connector pins is removed and the adapter matching the mains
connection is plugged on to the power pack (Pic 11). After plugging the power pack cable

3.7 How to start the instrument
You can find the On / Off switch on the back of the instrument. Turn on the instrument by
pressing the switch. Right after switching on, the instrument performs a self-test. The touch
screen lights up and the start screen appears. If a serious error is detected during the self-test,
no measurements can be performed. In this case, contact the MACHEREY-NAGEL technical
service.
3.8 How to switch off the instrument
Always switch off the device after use by pressing the on / off switch. If you do not use the
device for a longer period of time, disconnect the device from the power outlet.
